Peek into my Speech Room

This week we are working on giving compliments.  To help with this, we are using my “Compliment Me!” social skills activity.  First, we reviewed the fold-able book and the poster to talk about what a compliment is.

Then, we completed the worksheets to review the specifics about giving a compliment and to evaluate whether certain statements qualify as compliments.

After that, we used the compliment cards to practice giving compliments to people in different situations.

This ended up being a really fun activity and I felt like my kids really “got it” since we reviewed the concept in a variety of ways.  How do you like to teach the skill of giving a compliment?  If you liked this activity, you can purchase it in my TpT store.
