Five Fab Freebies: Better Hearing & Speech Month – Part 2

Before I jump into this post, I want to apologize for being much less present over the last few months.  For those of you that don’t know, I’m expecting a baby in August and since I already have a baby (OK, she is technically a toddler now ;), my time is a bit scarce!  I do plan to post at least one more Five Fab Freebies post before this school year is over though, so please check back!  OK, now onto these great freebies…

Since it’s May 1st, I’d like to officially wish you all a Happy Better Hearing & Speech Month!  This is our time to spread the word about speech, language, and hearing disorders and the value of our profession.  Here are some great resources to help you do just that!

Up first are my free BHSM graphics.  Share them on your FB page, put them in handouts, or use them however you see fit.

Next up is Tid-Bits and Tips for Better Hearing and Speech Month from Speech to the Core.  This freebie provides great tips and tid-bits for each weekday during the month of May.  While you’re there, check out her Better Hearing & Speech Month Tags too!

Next, there’s the Better Speech & Hearing Month Awareness Packet from Natalie Snyders.  There’s a great poster, a handout what we do, tips, and cute water bottle labels too!

Then, we’ve got Better Hearing & Speech Month Fun Facts from the Speech Chicks.  Lots of fun facts are included in a calendar format to raise awareness about communication disorders!

Last is a two-sided Speech & Language teacher handout from Denise Polley.  Lots of great info about what SLPs address and some good voice tips for teachers!

What are you doing for BHSM?  I hope these fabulous freebies help you to spread the word about communication disorders and our profession!  Please don’t forget to let them know how much you appreciated their resources!
