Five Fab Freebies: Summer Speech & Language Materials

I know everyone is ready for the summer!  I have to be honest with you though, I am not looking forward to it!  You think I’m crazy, right?  Well, I’m currently 6 months pregnant and every day in the summer heat seems like an eternity for me.  While I generally love the summer, when I am pregnant, I do not!  Although I will probably drop off the face of the earth in August when baby #2 is born, I do have a couple of Five Fab Freebies posts for you planned in June and July, so please check back!  These are the great freebies that I’ve rounded up for you to help with your summer caseload:

1) Summer Speech-Language Therapy Ideas for Parents Handout by Natalie Snyders on TpT.  This one page free handout is designed for SLPs to send home to parents of elementary & middle school students for suggestions on how to practice good speech and language skills through games and apps.  This is a great option to send home over the summer or whenever parents ask for ideas on how to work with their children at home!

2) Summer Fun with Language Sampler from The Speech Space.  This is a sample of a larger product.  In this sampler, you will get: 6 discussion cards, 8 WH-question cards, 6 vocab cards with 6 matching definitions.

3) All Around the Campground Board Set by GoldCountrySLP.  This Candyland-style game board is just what you need for ages PreK through primary aged students. The game is open ended and can be used to address a variety of language.

4) Summer Homework Calendars from Speech Therapy Fun by Jennifer Bradley.  These speech and language summer homework calendars have daily suggestions for quick and fun activities.  If the student completes the entire week of activities, he/she gets to glue a star on the ‘I Did My Work’ chart.

5) Summer Speech Freebie: Gardening from Teach Speech 365.  This is part of a larger packet.  The freebie includes: vocabulary cards, categories, and past tense verbs.

Also, you might have noticed that this post went up on a Sunday.  I’ve decided to start posting these on Sundays in an effort to help you plan your week, rather than on Fridays when you’re probably winding down.  So, stay tuned for these FFF to go live on Sundays from here on out.  Have a great summer and stay cool!!!
