For the Love of Speech

A bunch of SLP bloggers have put together some great Valentine’s freebies for a fun blog hop!  There are all sorts of items that target a variety of categories, so you’ll be sure to find tons of great materials to address the different needs of all the students on your caseload.

The freebie that I have to offer would be great to use for students that have trouble with figurative language.  It contains Valentine’s-themed idiom flashcards to review the definitions of 12 different idioms.

The flashcards are part of a larger packet, Valentine’s Day Idioms.  In addition to the flashcards, that packet contains: the same flash cards in black line, two stories that use the idioms in context, two fill in the blank tasks, 2 answer keys, and 10 questions/topics for discussion.  To further address these concepts, I also have a fun Valentine’s Day Idiom Bingo game too.  And for a nice money saving option, I’ve bundled these two products together!

Have fun hopping around the blogs and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!  Click on the picture below to get to the next blog!
