Peek Into My Speech Room

I’m always looking for materials to work on the /r/ sound.  The /r/ is a beast!  Repetition and drill are so necessary, but also so BORING.  It’s always refreshing when I can find some materials that keep it light, while still requiring my client to get in all the practice that they need.  This fun packet of /r/ materials from my friend Karen over at Pritchett’s Printables does just that!  What’s so clever about the packet, is that it uses sight words.  What a great way to work academics into your session!  It is just a small chunk of what her /R/, /L/, /S/, & /Z/ Sight Word Bundle has to offer.  It gives PLENTY of opportunities to work on the /r/ sound, but keeps it fun at the same time with the use of game boards and BINGO.  There is even a homework sheet for your student or client to practice and self-evaluate at home.

I put everything in a three ring binder (she even provides a label for the spine of the binder to keep you extra organized) and laminated the game and bingo boards.  I’ve really enjoyed using Karen’s product this week and my kids just can’t get enough of the BINGO!

I really love the blend of fun and practicality that this packet brings to the table.  Head on over to Karen’s store to see all of the great therapy materials that she has to offer.
