It’s time for a March GIVEAWAY!

Are you ready for spring??  Well, you’re in luck because my giveaway has some great materials to help you prepare for the change in seasons.  Whether you are an SLP or a teacher, you will love what I have in store for you- over $35 worth of materials!  Since I am a speech therapist, I’m going to sneak a few speech-y comments in about some of the products, but really, you don’t have to be an SLP to use or appreciate them.  They would make a great addition to any teacher’s classroom!  I’m so excited to tell you all about this collection of goodies.  Let’s take a look….

I’m kicking off the giveaway with my Spring Loaded Language Pack.  This product is overflowing with spring-related language activities!  The packet covers: synonyms, antonyms, spring vocabulary (the definitions are presented “inference style” and can be used to play an “I Spy” game), regular plurals, wh-questions, sequencing, and more!

Next up, we have All About St. Patrick’s Day {Craftivity, Mini-Books and MUCH MORE!} from Michaela Peterson.  This St. Patrick’s Day Craftivity packet is a great resource for students to celebrate such a fun holiday while learning fun facts about it’s origin. You’ll have a blast with the informative mini-books, activity worksheets, vocabulary cutouts and more! You can use this packet in whole group activities or set up some of the activities to use during a workshop or centers time.

The next product up for grabs is March Madness Fourth Grade Common Core Language Conventions Packet from Tamelia Tumlin.  This packet contains activities designed to meet the fourth grade common core standard L.4.1 (Which is to demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking) and all of the sub-standards for this target. Each activity is clearly labeled with the standard and with directions. Activities include worksheets, cut and paste activities, and center activities.  The March Madness theme is sure to keep it fun, while still addressing each standard!

Then, we have Seasons Sort: Science Centers from KB3Teach.  For this activity, you identify objects and activities by season, and then cut and paste graphics into the appropriate season box.  This would be a great activity for kids working on categories and seasonal vocabulary.  There is also a “senses organizer” which would be great for sneaking some wh-questions in.

The March Interactive Mobile & Craftivity & Accordion Fold Book from Janet Rainey is next on the list.  The interactive March mobile will look adorable hanging in your room!  The mobile contains two craftivities: a lion to show how the month of March comes in and a lamb to show how the month goes out.  This activity is an awesome introduction on how to take notes and prepare for a research report.  This product provides opportunities for extracting relevant information, note taking, comparing and contrasting, and more!

Next, we have Kindergarten Animals Aligned with CCSS from Loving Kinders.  This 100 page Life Science Unit on ANIMALS is thoroughly connected to Kindergarten CCSS and each activity meets cross-curricular language arts and math standards. The unit is separated into specific skills with thorough explanations and suggestions.  Each activity can be used in a small group, Daily Five literacy center, and/or in independent or collaborative groups.

Then, we’ve got Spring math practice – Add, Subtract, Divide and Multiply (1 to 1000) by Michelle Dupuis.  You might be wondering- how does this pertain to speech or language?  Well, there are a few things different ways to work that in with this activity.  Firstly, you can work on vocabulary.  You can also play a barrier game where you have your opponent describe a number (it’s a single line, it’s got two humps on the side, it’s got a circle with a line attached beneath it, or it comes between 3 and 5).  You could definitely use this to practice following directions too (solve number 5 before you solve number 4, etc).  Another thought is that you could use this with fluency kiddos.  You could have them read the math problem aloud and provide the solution using their fluency strategies.

Next, we have Long Vowel Leprechauns by Jenifer Bazzit.  Students will practice long vowel words and long vowel word families with this product. This is a fun packet! It includes a Read ‘n Color book, Long Vowel Leprechaun necklaces, Long Vowel Leprechaun Sorts, and a Sort-Trade-Sort Long Vowel game.  If you’re an SLP, this could also be modified for artic kids on your caseload.

Write the Room by Kindergarten is Great is next on the list.  This product is a great way to get your students recognizing and writing print around the room.  The pages of this packet are centered around Read Across America Day and St. Patty’s Day.  Students simply go around the room and find words that start with the letters on the sheet.  To challenge higher level students, you can have them write a sentence with the word they found.  This would also be great for working on phonemic awareness.

Last, but not least we have a great collection of items to get you thinking about warmer days ahead!  These items are from Karen Pritchett of Pritchett’s Printables.  She’s so generously donated: Synonyms by the Sea, Cinco de Mayo Morning Work Packet ELA and Math, and her Speech Therapy Reminder Cards.  You don’t have to be an SLP to use these schedule cards.  If you’re a teacher and you have a student that keeps forgetting when they have speech, these cards are for you!  The cards come in different colors, so you could use the green ones this St. Patty’s Day.

Wow! Can you believe all of these great materials? If you’d like to add them to your speech room (or classroom!), enter the Rafflecopter Giveaway below for a chance to win. One winner will be chosen on Friday, March 7th at midnight. Good luck!!! a Rafflecopter giveaway
